Key Responsibilities

  • SA&O Tool Management: Maintain and provide user support for Kappa and OFM tool suites, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Workflow Development: Assist in developing and deploying new production and waterflood workflows.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to users across business units; share best practices in production surveillance and optimization.
  • Production Analysis: Support pressure transient analysis, rate monitoring, and production optimization across multiple reservoir types.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with subsurface teams, well testing SMEs, and Agile Release Train (ART) product teams to implement SA&O solutions.
  • Consulting & Support: Provide expert consulting in production management, waterflood management, and other reservoir optimization workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance tool performance, production workflows, and data analysis processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Kappa and Oil Field Manager (OFM) tool suites for production management, reserves estimation, and waterflood optimization.
  • Strong understanding of production engineering concepts and surveillance, analysis, and optimization (SA&O) workflows.
  • Experience with pressure transient analysis, rate monitoring, and field optimization.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, software development, and IT workflows.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to provide technical consulting and training to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (MSc preferred).
  • Domain expertise in production engineering.
  • Practical experience in production analysis and optimization workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile workflows and software deployment for SA&O tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience in data analytics and advanced reservoir analysis.
  • Agile certification (e.g., SAFe) as Product Manager or Product Owner.
  • Experience with waterflood optimization workflows and multiple reservoir types.
