Key Responsibilities
As the FMCG Category Manager at ADNOC Distribution, you will:
- Develop and execute category strategies for FMCG in convenience retail outlets to drive volume and margin.
- Analyze sales data and consumer trends to optimize SKU portfolios and promotional activities.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and trade terms.
- Collaborate with operations and store teams to ensure effective product placement and inventory management.
- Coordinate marketing and promotional campaign execution to support category performance.
- Monitor competitive landscape and benchmark performance metrics.
- Provide regular category insights, reporting, and performance dashboards to stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated success in FMCG category management within retail or convenience sectors.
- Strong data-driven decision-making using analytics and trade tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Keen commercial acumen with profit and loss responsibility.
- Capability to manage projects, priorities, and timelines effectively.
- Proficient with ERP platforms, promotional tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG category or merchandising roles.
- Prior experience in fuel station retail, convenience, or retail environments is a plus.
- Understanding of UAE retail market and consumer behavior.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic proficiency a plus.
