Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS data pipelines for large datasets.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes using AWS Glue, EMR, and Lambda.
- Build and manage data lakes using S3 and Delta Lake.
- Implement analytics solutions with Amazon Redshift and Athena.
- Design and maintain databases on Aurora, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Develop serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions.
- Write efficient, maintainable code in Python, PySpark, SQL/PostgreSQL.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to meet analytical needs.
- Optimize data architecture for performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 2–12 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 60% focused on AWS services.
- Expertise in AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Athena, Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB.
- Experience with data lake architectures, especially Delta Lake.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
- Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS Step Functions for workflow orchestration.
- Familiarity with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
- Agile methodology and version control (Git) experience preferred.
