Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using AWS services like AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Kinesis, and AWS S3.
  • Build and manage data warehouses and data lakes on AWS platforms including AWS Redshift and Amazon S3.
  • Implement data governance and quality practices to ensure high data integrity and reliability.
  • Optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency through continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS data engineering technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related technical challenges.
  • Document data architecture, pipeline design, and operational processes to maintain clear communication across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with AWS data engineering services.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing and data lake architectures.
  • Proven knowledge of data modeling and data architecture principles.
  • Experience with AWS services: Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Kinesis, S3.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within agile teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines or big data technologies.
  • Understanding of security best practices for cloud data environments.
