Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will:
- Work on automated systems for offshore platforms and implement complete solutions.
- Program and configure Automation Nodes / HMI using PCS7, WinCC, Step 7, and TIA Portal.
- Deliver automation engineering for at least five Oil & Gas / Marine automation projects.
- Coordinate with factories, vendors, and system houses for automation cabinet manufacturing & staging.
- Support offshore DCS project upgrades and migrations.
- Travel for project execution and commissioning (domestic and international, up to 2–3 months at a time).
- Ensure seamless collaboration with Siemens regional offices and global project teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in automation engineering for Oil & Gas or Marine projects.
- Hands-on experience with PCS7, WinCC, Step 7, and TIA Portal.
- Knowledge of Nordic SOGO library (advantage).
- Familiarity with DCS migration / upgrade projects.
- Added advantage: Knowledge of C++, C#, VB Scripting, and Database Management.
- Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken).
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across regions.
