Key Responsibilities

As the Associate Director – VAPT, you will play a critical leadership role in Deloitte’s Cyber Defense practice:

• Lead large-scale Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) engagements across diverse client environments.
• Oversee application and network security testing, including internal/external penetration tests and cloud assessments.
• Design and implement enterprise vulnerability management frameworks, define KPIs, and guide clients on remediation strategies.
• Integrate DevSecOps and security automation into CI/CD pipelines to enhance secure software delivery.
• Conduct advanced application security testing (SAST, DAST) and infrastructure assessments.
• Provide strategic cybersecurity advisory to executive stakeholders, aligning security initiatives with business goals.
• Mentor cybersecurity teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s global cybersecurity innovation programs and help expand our attack management services portfolio.

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles across cybersecurity domains.
• Certifications: CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH, GPEN, or equivalent.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Vulnerability and threat management
  • Penetration testing methodologies
  • Secure coding and application security
  • Cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • SOC operations and incident response frameworks

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
• Experience managing large-scale security transformation consulting engagements.
• Strong business acumen and ability to communicate security insights to executive leadership.
