Key Responsibilities
Placement & Broking Strategy
- Lead and govern carrier strategy across health and commercial risk teams.
- Develop and execute insurance placement strategies for government and private sector tenders.
- Collaborate with client-facing and sales teams to ensure a coordinated approach to carrier engagement.
- Leverage placement data, market knowledge, and benchmarking to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities.
- Design solution-oriented product offerings to support business growth and client retention.
Client & Carrier Engagement
- Define and maintain insurer engagement strategies, including relationships at CXO/GM levels.
- Independently develop and execute carrier penetration strategies aligned with government and practice principles.
- Manage and conclude all legal documentation (NDAs, Broker Services Agreements, SLAs, TOBA) in coordination with Aon legal teams.
Revenue & Performance Management
- Expand revenue for Aon broking by optimizing pricing and rewards strategies with carriers.
- Increase revenue by at least 10% through enhanced carrier engagement and yield management.
- Liaise with insurers for outstanding commissions, rewards, and revenue bookings in coordination with internal finance teams.
Market Insights & Consulting
- Develop consulting expertise within the assigned client segment.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in collaboration with other team members.
- Monitor market developments to provide actionable insights for tender placements and insurance solutions.
Projects & Collaboration
- Execute specific projects to support broking practice development.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure key updates on products and placements are communicated.
- Support client satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Proven expertise in insurance broking, placement strategy, and government/tender business.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Deep understanding of insurance products and solution lines in India.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage ambiguity and complex situations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, dynamic, and team-oriented with a competitive drive.
- Evidence of continuous professional development to deliver distinctive client value.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree.
- IRDAI Licentiate Certificate mandatory; insurance professional certifications preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in insurance placements, broking, and strategic account management.
