About the Role

As Associate Director – GenAI, you’ll spearhead Deloitte’s Generative AI and Advanced Data Science initiatives, integrating LLMs, AI copilots, and RAG-based solutions to drive business innovation. You’ll lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with global clients to develop scalable, responsible, and future-ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of GenAI-powered enterprise applications using advanced LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Gemini).
• Architect retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and semantic search solutions.
• Manage GenAI projects in summarization, chatbots, content generation, document intelligence, and AI copilots.
• Integrate AI/ML pipelines into enterprise ecosystems leveraging Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML platforms and frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate).
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and business teams to define GenAI strategies.
• Ensure Responsible AI principles—ethics, fairness, explainability, and governance—are embedded in every solution.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
• Support pre-sales activities, proposal development, and client presentations for GenAI offerings.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s AI accelerators, reusable assets, and IP development.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related disciplines.

Experience:

• 12+ years in AI/ML and Data Science, including 3+ years focused on Generative AI / LLMs / NLP.
• Proven success leading enterprise-scale AI implementations and managing cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in deep learning, transformer architectures, and statistical modeling.
• Experience deploying solutions on cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Core Skills:

• Proficiency in LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, and GenAI architectures.
• Hands-on with LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, vector databases, and LLMOps.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AI/ML or Cloud (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialty).
• Experience with LLMOps tools for model evaluation, tracking, and governance.
• Background in regulated industries such as BFSI, Healthcare, or Legal.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience in top-tier firms.
