Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Director – Accounting & Reporting Assurance, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP advisory projects for major clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements as per accounting standards.
  • Advising clients on accounting compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory standards.
  • Applying deep technical accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues.
  • Ensuring internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) are compliant with SOX and COSO frameworks.
  • Managing end-to-end client delivery while maintaining Deloitte’s high quality standards.
  • Overseeing and coaching junior team members to build technical and consulting capabilities.
  • Working across ERP systems including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, and MS Dynamics.
  • Utilizing data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and MS Excel to deliver insights.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical command of Ind AS, with a working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • In-depth understanding of financial reporting standards, disclosure requirements, and global accounting practices.
  • Exposure to internal controls, SOX compliance, and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • CA qualified, preferably within 4 attempts.
  • 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in accounting advisory, audit, or financial reporting.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proven ability to manage client expectations, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements.
