Summary

KPMG Global Services (KGS) is seeking an Associate 1 FTS to join its dynamic finance and audit team in Kochi, Kerala. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a background in finance, accounting, and audit, including MBA Finance, M.Com, CA, or CPA aspirants. The Associate 1 FTS will gain hands-on exposure to audit documentation, accounting tools, and financial reporting procedures, while supporting high-quality audit engagements. Key Responsibilities

Audit & Financial Procedures

• Demonstrate basic accounting and auditing knowledge in compliance with KGS standards.
• Perform audit procedures using audit documentation tool eAudIT and other KPMG tools (IDEA, WISDOM, CaseWare).
• Execute audit processes efficiently and ensure high-quality deliverables within set timelines.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in data validation and processing for audit engagements.
• Prepare and review working papers supporting audit findings.
• Participate in team and group activities, contributing insights and support to engagement leads.

Learning & Development

• Engage in self-development activities in technical and project management areas.
• Demonstrate adaptability to change and readiness to work on weekend assignments or US travel.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of basic accounting and audit principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and client interaction.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Skills

• Attention to detail and quality consciousness in all tasks.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
• Willingness to travel internationally, including short- and long-term US assignments.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Postgraduate in Finance & Accounting (MBA Finance / M.Com), Graduate + CA Final (1 group passed, Articleship preferred), or Graduate pursuing CPA (minimum 2 papers passed).
• Experience: 0–2 years relevant experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles.
• Exposure to Big 4 or shared service centers is advantageous.
