Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client deliverables for medium- to high-complexity Workday Payroll projects.
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with clients to ensure optimal adoption of Workday standard methodologies.
  • Execute tenant builds, configure business processes, deploy solutions, and provide bug fix support.
  • Create reports and manage PAAS environment strategy.
  • Provide domain expertise in Payroll, HCM, Absence, Benefits, and Compensation processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with global teams on Workday implementation phases, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience in Workday US Payroll and HCM implementation.
  • Knowledge of Run Categories, Pay Accumulations, Pay Groups, and Pay Components.
  • Experience in data conversion, iLoads, EIBs, and migration using Workday tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead end-to-end payroll projects, including global rollouts and functional configuration.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of bank setup and country-specific payroll deductions/earnings.
  • Experience with Absence, Benefits, Compensation, and Time Tracking modules.
  • Exposure to Workday implementation across multiple clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify complex technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech/MTech/MBA/MCA from a recognized institution.
  • Workday HCM Core and Workday Payroll certifications (mandatory).
  • 7–9 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in Workday Payroll implementation/support.
  • Proven track record of 3+ end-to-end Workday implementations as a Core Payroll or Specialization Module consultant.
