Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager – Workday US Payroll Lead, you will:

  • Lead medium-to-high complexity Workday HCM and Payroll projects, ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Conduct working sessions and workshops with clients to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
  • Administer tenant builds, PAAS environment strategy, deployment, bug fixes, and report creation.
  • Provide domain expertise on payroll, HCM, absence, benefits, and compensation processes.
  • Guide clients to leverage Workday standard methodologies and implement best practices.
  • Contribute to all phases of Workday implementation, including data conversion and migration.

Must-Have Certifications

  • Workday HCM Core
  • Workday Payroll

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7-9 years of IT experience, with 4+ years in Workday Payroll implementations.
  • Completed 3+ end-to-end Workday implementations as Core Payroll or specialized module consultant.
  • Proficient in data conversion, using tools such as Customer Central, iLoads, EIBs, Migration Recipe, and Advanced Loader.
  • In-depth understanding of US Payroll processes, including run categories, pay groups, pay components, and pay accumulations.
  • Experience configuring Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, Benefits, and Compensation modules.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of bank setup, country-specific deductions, and earnings for payroll processing.
  • Experience with Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Compensation modules is a plus.
  • Ability to lead design sessions, suggest workarounds, and guide teams through non-compliance challenges.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • BE/BTech/MTech/MBA/MCA from an accredited college/university

Professional Experience:

  • 7-9 years in IT, including 4+ years implementing or supporting Workday Payroll
  • Hands-on experience with global Workday HCM and Payroll rollouts
