Key Responsibilities

Due Diligence

  • Analyze target IT data to assess technology landscape, systems, costs, and IT contracts.
  • Identify risks in target IT environments and recommend remediation strategies and associated costs.
  • Summarize findings to team members and clients, highlighting the impact on business strategy and deal valuation.
  • Develop IT benchmarks and insights for typical IT function evaluations.
  • Assist in client communications, calls, and meetings.
  • Contribute content to IT reports and deliverables.

Integration & Separation

  • Advise clients on technology aspects of mergers, integrations, separations, and carve-outs.
  • Develop target operating models, transitional service agreements, and detailed implementation plans.
  • Lead technology workstreams within integration and separation projects.
  • Facilitate and conduct client workshops, meetings, and synergy assessments.

Wider Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and ensure high chargeability of the team.
  • Manage projects, allocate work, and review quality for junior team members.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage junior staff performance.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and KPMG Partners/Directors.
  • Support the development of new propositions and initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, risk management, and engagement protocols.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Expertise in Application Support & Maintenance, Network & Data Center Operations, SDLC, Cyber Security, End User Computing, Disaster Recovery, Cloud deployment models, IT compliance, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Strong project management, client communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead workshops, facilitate client meetings, and synthesize complex information.
  • Flexibility to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure M&A environments.
  • Willingness to travel moderately as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree with major in Technology or IT.
  • Experience in M&A IT integration, separation, IT strategy, solution architecture, or technology due diligence.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP and CRM systems.
  • Technology certifications like ITIL, AWS, Azure, GCP, TOGAF, COBIT, CISSP, or COMPTIA are advantageous.
