Key Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Assistant Manager at Deloitte, you will:

  • Threat Modelling – Conduct sessions using STRIDE, PASTA, and other frameworks to assess risks in applications, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) – Perform regular testing of systems, applications, and networks using industry tools.
  • Security Risk Analysis – Evaluate vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and provide remediation strategies.
  • Incident Response – Support forensic investigations, analyze threat patterns, and recommend preventive actions.
  • Collaboration – Work with developers, DevOps, and stakeholders to embed secure coding practices.
  • Reporting – Document assessment findings and present results to both technical and business leaders.
  • Awareness & Training – Promote secure coding practices and help teams strengthen their cyber hygiene.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Threat Modelling tools (Microsoft Threat Modelling Tool, OWASP Threat Dragon).
  • Hands-on VAPT experience using Nmap, Burp Suite, Nessus, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit.
  • Knowledge of common vulnerabilities (SQL Injection, XSS, buffer overflows, OWASP Top 10, CVE).
  • Solid understanding of network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
  • Risk analysis, technical writing, and ability to communicate findings effectively.
  • Programming knowledge in Python, Java, C, or scripting languages (preferred).
  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2 frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Previous experience in BFSI sector preferred.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent.
  • Preferred certifications:
    • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
    • OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • Additional exposure to Agile/Scrum security practices is a plus.
