Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager – Cybersecurity, you will:
- Detect, investigate, analyze, and report qualified security incidents as per SLA.
- Conduct incident triage, containment, remediation, and root cause analysis.
- Perform forensic investigations (disk, memory, cloud, enterprise-wide).
- Collaborate with SOC teams to design and execute incident response plans.
- Analyze data from firewalls, IDS, proxies, Active Directory, EDR, DLP, and other sources.
- Use SIEM and SOAR platforms (QRadar, Sentinel, Cortex, Phantom, Demisto).
- Deliver governance dashboards and incident reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct IR tabletop exercises and simulations for technical and executive teams.
- Review and improve processes for scalable cyber defense operations.
- Ensure timely escalation of complex cases to L3 security teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in SIEM monitoring, incident response, and cyber investigations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, DNS.
- Experience with security tools, forensic techniques, and log analysis.
- Hands-on with EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, MS Defender, SentinelOne).
- Experience with forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, etc.).
- Familiarity with cyber kill chain & MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 rotational environment.
Preferred Certifications
- ECIH v2, CHFI, GCIH, GCIA (or equivalent).
Education
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree (Full-Time) in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
