Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead investigation and response to complex security incidents, including APTs, malware outbreaks, and insider threats.
- Serve as liaison between SOC and customer incident response teams for advanced threat handling.
- Document incidents, investigative findings, and remediation actions following established protocols.
- Suggest SIEM rule fine-tuning to reduce false positives and optimize alerting.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the SOC.
- Perform quality review of alerts handled by L1 and L2 analysts.
- Track KPIs and create dashboards for executive-level briefings.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior SOC analysts to enhance incident detection and response capabilities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in SOC operations, incident response, and threat hunting. Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike SIEM and EDR preferred.
- Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment
- Primarily works in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- May require rotational shifts for 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring.
