Key Responsibilities
As a Cloud Security Assistant Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Lead and execute cloud security assessments across AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI platforms
- Implement and evaluate Zero Trust Architecture and associated technologies
- Review and advise on cloud-native security controls, including:
- IAM (Identity & Access Management)
- Data Security
- SIEM
- IDS/IPS
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Kubernetes & container security
- Encryption and cryptography practices
- Conduct configuration reviews and benchmark them against industry standards such as:
- ISO 27001
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- CIS Benchmarks
- CSA CCM
- Develop and implement cloud security policies, controls, and frameworks
- Analyze risk using the Risk Management Lifecycle – Identification, Assessment, Response & Reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure full security coverage
- Document findings, prepare reports, and present results to stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Cloud Security Consulting
- In-depth technical expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
- Proven experience in cloud security posture management
- Familiarity with compliance mandates and regulatory frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple client projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team player with a high sense of ownership, responsibility, and urgency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Preferred cloud security certifications:
- CCSK (Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge)
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
