Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager – Business Valuations, you will:
- Support senior team members in delivering complex valuation and financial modeling projects.
- Conduct deep-dive research, interpret financial documents, and analyze business contracts.
- Assist with transactions including M&A, restructuring, forensic investigations, and investment advisory.
- Prepare high-quality, client-ready deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies in a global delivery environment.
- Format and convert financial data (e.g., Excel to PDF), and update valuation databases.
- Draft valuation reports, presentations, and newsletters for internal and client-facing use.
- Perform open-source research and contribute to the redaction of legal or financial documents.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and Thomson One a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Experience working with large datasets and financial modeling.
- Adaptability to dynamic project environments and shifting client priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Com, BMS, BFM, BAF, M.Com, M.Sc. (Finance), or MBA (Finance).
- Certifications such as CPA, CFE, or ACAMS are highly valued.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva, or similar platforms.
- Language skills in French, Spanish, Japanese, or German are a strong plus.
