Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager – Valuations, you will be responsible for:
- Building and reviewing financial models for valuations across sectors and company sizes
- Supporting mergers, acquisitions, demergers, and corporate restructuring projects
- Conducting purchase price allocations and impairment testing in line with IFRS standards
- Performing valuations for tax, financial reporting, and management planning
- Collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients
- Managing engagement timelines, budgets, and junior staff
- Using databases like CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Factiva, and Thomson Reuters for industry research
- Communicating valuation findings to clients and engagement stakeholders
Skills & Competencies
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Strong understanding of business valuation principles and financial concepts
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling
- Experience using research tools: CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Factiva
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Effective project management and leadership capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- Familiarity with IFRS standards, especially for PPA and impairment
Qualifications
- Education: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / CPA
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in business valuation or financial advisory
- Preferred Background: Big 4 firms, investment banks, or valuation support centers
