💼 Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager – Valuations, you will:
- Build and review complex business valuation models across diverse industries.
- Conduct purchase price allocation (PPA) and goodwill impairment testing per IFRS and other accounting standards.
- Collaborate with client teams to provide tailored valuation advice in M&A, restructuring, and compliance scenarios.
- Analyze financial data and industry reports to derive business value estimations.
- Lead and mentor junior team members; review their deliverables and provide coaching.
- Prepare and manage project timelines, budgets, and status reports.
- Interact directly with client stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
🧠 Key Skills & Tools
- Strong knowledge of business valuations, financial reporting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling.
- Experience with databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva, and Thomson.
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance concepts related to valuations.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with clients.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in report generation.
🎓 Preferred Qualifications
- CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) / CFA (International)
- 3+ years of experience in a valuation-focused role (Big 4, investment banking, or boutique advisory)
- Exposure to M&A transactions, restructuring, and compliance-related valuations
- Experience preparing technical documentation, pitch decks, or valuation reports
- Familiarity with PPA, IFRS/GAAP/Ind AS accounting standards
