🎯 Key Responsibilities
As EHS Incharge at L&T Bhubaneswar, your role will focus on operational safety and compliance. Key duties include:
- Implementing and monitoring EHS policies, programs, and procedures
- Conducting safety training sessions for workers and staff on EHS laws, emergency procedures, hazard control, and use of PPE
- Performing risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions
- Ensuring regular maintenance and readiness of firefighting equipment, PPE, and safety gadgets
- Promoting safety awareness across all levels of the workforce
- Maintaining compliance with EHS legal requirements and presenting audit results to IC Head
- Coordinating first-aid and emergency response training, accident investigation drills, and safety workshops
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams regarding safety compliance and EHS documentation
🧠 Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Construction Safety protocols
- Hands-on expertise with EHS audit documentation
- Proficiency in risk assessment, hazard control, and root cause analysis
- Experience working with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting across departments
- Familiarity with state and central EHS regulations applicable to large infrastructure projects
🎓 Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline)
- Advanced/Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (recognized by State Technical Education Board)
- Minimum 60% marks throughout academic career
Desirable:
- NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification
- Master’s in Industrial Safety Engineering is a plus
