🛠 Responsibilities
As a Fortinet SD-WAN Network Engineer, you will:
- Design, deploy, and manage Fortinet-based SD-WAN solutions for enterprise clients.
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- Integrate SD-WAN solutions with existing IT infrastructure while ensuring network scalability and performance.
- Monitor network traffic, detect anomalies, and ensure network security and availability.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and ongoing system optimization.
- Document configuration details, architecture decisions, and operational procedures.
- Provide expert-level technical support and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SD-WAN deployments with business needs.
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–12 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies.
- Proven expertise in Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiOS.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, SSL VPN.
- Strong troubleshooting, configuration, and documentation skills.
- Experience with enterprise-level network deployments and infrastructure scaling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
📜 Preferred Certifications
- Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 (strongly preferred)
- Any relevant network security or cloud networking certification is a plus.
