🔧 Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Deputy Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of L1 and L2 SOC analysts across shifts
- Conduct quality audits, shift handovers, and workload balancing
- Develop and fine-tune custom rules and use cases in QRadar to reduce false positives
- Collaborate with SIEM engineering to optimize threat detection and response workflows
- Support incident response, RCA, and escalations as needed
- Train and mentor analysts on log analysis, threat vectors, and emerging TTPs
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly SOC reports
- Develop automation playbooks using XSOAR and Python scripting
🛠️ Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- In-depth experience with QRadar SIEM (offense tuning, custom rules, log integrations)
- Proficiency in Python scripting and SOAR platforms (e.g., XSOAR/Demisto)
- Strong knowledge in:
- Endpoint Security, Firewall, IPS, WAF, AV/EDR
- Cloud Security (especially AWS), Deception tools
- Threat hunting, malware analysis, and forensics
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Qualys, Shodan, Cortex
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (B.E./B.Tech from Tier 1/2 institute preferred)
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in a SOC or cyber security operations role
- Preferred certifications: IBM QRadar SIEM, CEH, CISSP, CISM
