π Key Responsibilities
As a Demand Planner β PARM & Upstream at ExxonMobil Bangalore, you will:
π Coordinate, Communicate & Align
- Drive regional demand forecast processes across business units
- Analyze statistical forecasts, identify outliers, and align internal stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and S&OP teams
- Lead regular demand planning meetings and facilitate cross-functional alignment
π Forecasting & Data Management
- Generate and maintain statistical (STAT) forecasts using historical data
- Analyze shipment history to improve forecasting accuracy
- Guide the Sales Adjusted Forecast (SAF) process and optimize segmentation
- Monitor key forecast drivers such as price impact, order flow, and sales signals
- Ensure alignment of forecast with Product Management and Global Business Unit outlooks
π§ Tool Optimization & Forecast Modeling
- Test and optimize planning tools to improve forecast accuracy
- Review and recommend updates to ERP configurations and settings
- Monitor forecast accuracy KPIs and ensure continuous process improvements
- Drive the implementation of advanced forecasting tools and reporting dashboards
π― Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this demand planning role with ExxonMobil, youβll need:
- A Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields (Applied Mathematics, Statistics)
- 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
- Proven experience working in large-scale operations (Oil & Gas preferred)
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP and/or Oracle
- Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
- Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools
- Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence without authority
- Strong self-starter mindset; capable of working independently and virtually
- Ability to lead meetings and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Proficient in handling complex data models and aligning cross-functional planning efforts
