🔧 Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer (Data Center Services) at QatarEnergy, you will:
- Lead the strategic design and planning of hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premise and cloud).
- Ensure the server environment is secure, scalable, cost-effective, and highly available.
- Provide technical consulting to ICT management and staff, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Offer 2nd and 3rd level technical support for system-related issues, including during off-hours.
- Implement and maintain cloud-native architectures using Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and systems integration.
- Drive automation using tools like PowerShell, Terraform, Python, and Ansible.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, hardening servers, and managing vulnerabilities.
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
- At least 5 years working with Microsoft Windows Servers, VMware, and Azure IaaS/PaaS.
- Deep expertise in:
- Hybrid cloud design
- VMware Cloud Foundation
- Azure AD, Group Policies, Windows Server OS
- Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, RedHat OpenShift)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and cloud automation.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, security practices, and SCCM.
- Desirable: Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong understanding of IT security standards, project management, and change management processes.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications from:
