🛠️ Key Responsibilities
As a Microsoft Teams Voice Consultant, you will:
- 🧩 Design & Implement Enterprise Voice Solutions
- Architect and migrate voice systems from PBX to Microsoft Teams Direct Routing.
- Configure SBCs (AudioCodes, Sonus), SIP trunks, and hybrid voice infrastructures.
- 📈 Optimize Teams Calling & Conferencing Performance
- Plan bandwidth, QoS, conferencing load balancing, and call traffic strategies.
- Design high-availability architecture for Teams Voice & Audio Conferencing.
- 🛠️ Deploy and Troubleshoot MS Teams Voice Features
- Enable users for Teams Phone and configure calling policies, auto attendants, and call queues.
- Resolve Teams client issues, meeting scheduling problems, and device errors.
- 🔐 Ensure Security & Compliance
- Implement governance, voice resiliency, and mediation server dependencies.
- Work within ITIL and SAFE Agile frameworks for incident and change management.
💡 Essential Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of recent experience in Microsoft Teams with Enterprise Voice.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Direct Routing, SBC configuration, and SIP integrations.
- In-depth understanding of:
- Call policies, Dial Plans, PSTN usage, Voice routing, Normalization rules.
- Auto attendants, Call queues, Media Bypass, Call Admission Control.
- Skype for Business with EV, including Mediation Server and PSTN integration.
- Experience with:
- Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, Windows Server administration.
- Call Detail Recording (CDR) tools and RightFax administration.
🧩 Additional Desired Knowledge
- Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) device configuration and support.
- Live event management using MS Teams Live Events, MS Stream, eCDN.
- Integration with AV room peripherals: Biamp, Mixers, Speakers, Controllers.
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Phone OEMs: AudioCodes, Avaya, etc.
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Certifications are a strong plus.
