Key Responsibilities
- EU 261 Assessment: Review and determine the eligibility of passenger claims under EU 261 regulations.
- Operational Evidence Analysis: Collect and examine data such as flight logs, weather reports (METAR/TAF), NOTAMs, maintenance logs, and ATC communications.
- Disruption Evaluation: Analyze delays or cancellations due to weather, technical faults, air traffic control restrictions, and other operational disruptions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with airline teams—flight dispatch, crew, ground operations, and maintenance—to validate claims and gather supporting evidence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure claim assessments comply with aviation laws (EU 261, EASA, ICAO, local CAA) and internal airline policies.
- Proactive Monitoring: Track real-time disruptions to assess potential liabilities proactively before claims are filed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Any Graduate with IATA certification or a Diploma in Aviation.
- Industry Background: Experience in areas like flight planning, dispatch, maintenance control, or ATC coordination is highly desirable.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with aviation regulations such as EU 261, EASA, ICAO, and national civil aviation authority (CAA) guidelines.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Understanding of aviation systems and operations.
- Ability to read and interpret METAR/TAF reports, flight delay codes, and incident logs.
- Experience using flight tracking systems (ACARS, ADS-B) and airline software (e.g., Sabre Movement Manager, AIMS, SITA Flight Briefing).
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and confident decision-making based on complex aviation data.
