Key Responsibilities

As an ETL Analyst, you will:

  • Perform ETL testing (functional, regression, integration, system testing).
  • Design and execute test cases based on data transformation rules and mappings.
  • Validate source-to-target data using SQL queries.
  • Report issues like data mismatches, transformation errors, and performance gaps.
  • Set up and maintain test environments and test datasets.
  • Develop automation scripts using tools like Selenium or Python.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and QA teams.
  • Ensure all ETL testing complies with data governance and security standards.
  • Conduct performance testing on ETL pipelines to optimize throughput.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with ETL testing, data migration, and data transformation validation.
  • Excellent command of SQL and working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or Apache Nifi.
  • Familiar with automation tools like Selenium, Python, or custom-built frameworks.
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM).
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git (added advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ETL/Data Testing.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Base Location: Bengaluru
  • Work Model: Hybrid (remote + office as per project requirements)
