Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Data Architecture team at technical governance bodies and provide feedback on architecture governance practices.
- Evaluate current and emerging technologies using existing data architecture standards and frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code, reviewing and debugging code from others.
- Drive data architecture decisions impacting product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
- Advocate for firmwide data frameworks, tools, and best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Influence peers and project decision-makers on the adoption of leading-edge technologies.
- Mentor junior architects and technologists and foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Formal training or certification in Information Engineering with 5+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in data modeling, data governance, and enterprise data architecture, ideally within financial organizations.
- Practical experience with Data Mesh principles and Databricks platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and applications.
- In-depth knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes in at least one technical discipline (cloud, AI, ML, or mobile).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges.
- Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend future state architecture solutions.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Corporate Functions within a financial organization.
