Responsibilities
As a SAP BTP Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native SAP BTP applications.
- Architect solutions using SAP BTP services such as Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and Java runtimes.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC): requirement gathering, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- Mentor and guide development teams on Java-based SAP BTP projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
- Define best practices, governance, and standards for SAP BTP development and DevOps processes.
- Integrate SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and external APIs.
- Drive Agile project delivery, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security, coding, and quality standards.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging SAP BTP and Java technologies.
Skills & Expertise
- 8+ years of Java development experience with SAP BTP exposure.
- Strong knowledge of SAP BTP components, including Cloud Foundry, Kyma runtime, and Java runtimes.
- Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and cloud-native application development.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage end-to-end Agile project delivery.
- Proficiency with REST APIs, integration patterns, and SAP system landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- SAP certifications in BTP or Java are an advantage.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Science or Engineering from a premier institute.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in SAP BTP and Java development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements.
