Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager – Business Valuations, your role will include:
- Building and reviewing valuation models across diverse industries and company sizes.
- Conducting M&A valuations, portfolio valuations, dispute valuations, and restructuring valuations.
- Performing purchase price allocation (PPA) and impairment testing as per IFRS standards.
- Managing financial modeling assignments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Supervising, guiding, and reviewing the work of junior analysts and associates.
- Preparing project budgets, timetables, and client deliverables.
- Collaborating with clients, engagement teams, and cross-functional leaders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Professional designation: CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in valuations, financial modeling, and corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of valuation principles, PPA, impairment testing, and accounting standards.
- Experience working with Big 4 firms, investment banks, or consulting firms is an advantage.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, financial modeling, and valuation databases (Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Factiva, Thomson).
- Excellent analytical, project management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with complex transaction valuations such as cross-border mergers and overseas swaps.
- Ability to analyze regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements for valuations.
- Exposure to deal advisory, corporate finance, and transaction support services.
