Summary

McKinsey & Company is hiring an experienced Technology Architecture Consultant to design and implement scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions across India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. This role is ideal for technology leaders with 8–12 years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, databases, serverless architecture, and DevOps practices. The consultant will partner with senior leadership, guide cross-functional teams, and leverage emerging technologies including AI, ML, and Generative AI to drive innovative, future-proof solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications leveraging cloud-native technologies.
• Cloud & Digital Innovation: Architect solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, microservices, containers, and serverless platforms.
• Client Partnership & Advisory: Collaborate with senior leadership, guide technical teams, and provide strategic technology advice to drive transformational change.
• Emerging Technologies: Evaluate and integrate AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions for enterprise impact.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Oversee cross-functional teams, provide architectural guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Agile & DevOps Practices: Implement agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to deliver resilient, secure solutions efficiently.
• Solution Optimization: Balance trade-offs across scalability, performance, cost, and security while troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
• Thought Leadership: Shape internal and external conversations, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines; MBA is a plus.
• 8–12 years of hands-on experience with enterprise technology architecture, cloud solutions, and cross-functional leadership.
• Proven track record in designing scalable, high-performance applications across multiple cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in APIs, microservices, serverless architectures, databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps, test automation, and cloud-native best practices.
• Hands-on development experience in web, mobility, AI/ML, and Generative AI applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to guide teams and ensure implementable solutions.

Preferred:

• Enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF.
• Experience in transformational technology projects and client advisory roles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across senior leadership levels.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies for long-term enterprise impact.
