Key Responsibilities

As a Deputy Manager – Post Merger Integration (PMI) at Deloitte, you will:

Organization Readiness & Integration

  • Define the integration vision, strategy, and guiding principles with client leadership.
  • Design target operating models, governance frameworks, and organizational structures.
  • Develop Day 1 / Day 100 readiness plans and execution roadmaps.
  • Contribute to the Integration Management Office (IMO) to oversee end-to-end program delivery.

IT Integration Support

  • Assess IT systems and infrastructure for synergies and dis-synergies.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, IT spend analysis, and contract reviews.
  • Lead post-deal IT integration across applications, vendors, and business operations.
  • Manage transformation readiness, program management, and IT cost efficiencies.

Carve-Outs & Separations

  • Develop separation strategies and assess readiness.
  • Define governance models and operating constructs for restructured entities.
  • Build TSA (Transition Service Agreements) and exit strategies.
  • Model standalone costs and stranded costs and design stepwise separation roadmaps.

Commercial Diligence & Transformation

  • Conduct strategic and commercial feasibility studies for deals.
  • Identify operational risks, red flags, and consolidation opportunities.
  • Drive functional integration planning across Sales, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Apply Deloitte frameworks and industry best practices for execution.

Synergy & Value Delivery

  • Identify and quantify synergies and dis-synergies.
  • Develop synergy roadmaps, benefits tracking, and realization plans.
  • Partner with functional leads to ensure measurable outcomes.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong background in M&A, PMI, IT transformation, and management consulting.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise systems, IT integration, process reengineering, outsourcing, or carve-outs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, cost modeling, and data-driven analysis.
  • Strong client-facing skills, stakeholder management, and ability to lead workshops.
  • Advanced problem-solving, strategic thinking, and program management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 6–10 years’ experience in consulting, M&A, IT transformation, or PMI.
  • Experience managing high-pressure deals, integrations, or carve-outs.
  • Prior exposure to vendor management, technology-led transformation, and global client delivery.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements.
