Responsibilities
As a Global IT Data Architect Senior Manager at BCG, you will:
- Define and design future-state enterprise data architecture for HR, finance, and reporting systems.
- Partner with Technology, Data Stewards, and Product Teams in an agile environment to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Build scalable data models and deliver analytical insights to senior management.
- Evaluate and recommend data tools, technologies, and architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to align with global standards and governance frameworks.
- Mentor and guide data engineers and analysts on architecture principles.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, conceptual/logical models, and metadata standards.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Data Management or Cloud Data Platforms (e.g., Snowflake) preferred.
Essential Experience
- 12+ years of IT experience with expertise in data architecture and warehousing.
- Strong background in cloud databases: Snowflake, Redshift, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Expertise in data warehousing, BI systems, data cataloguing, and MDM.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools: AWS Glue, DBT, Talend, FiveTran, APIs.
- Proficiency in analytics platforms: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx.
- Strong experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Meta Scrum).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Compensation Benchmarking, Pay Transparency, and Total Rewards data solutions.
- Strong knowledge of data security and governance frameworks.
- Ability to resolve technical challenges quickly and support cross-functional teams.
