Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Test Lead – Java & Python at Siemens Pune, you will:
- Lead QA and test automation activities across product features and sprints.
- Define test strategies, risk-based plans, and automation frameworks.
- Design and maintain automated test suites in Java and Python (PyTest, unittest).
- Conduct API testing for RESTful services using Java (REST Assured) and Python (requests).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up with development teams.
- Ensure requirements traceability through test cases and data management.
- Generate and present test metrics (coverage, defect density, pass/fail rates) to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the QA team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years as SDET or QA Automation Engineer.
- Technical Expertise:
- Test automation using Java and Python.
- Strong hands-on skills in API testing, REST services, and CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication (English, written & spoken).
- Proactive problem-solving and a passion for test automation.
- Leadership potential with the ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Graduate in Computer Science, IT, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
