Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of instruments (PT, TT, LT, FT, CV, XV) and DCS/PLC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Review reports from previous shifts on breakdowns, emergencies, calibration, and troubleshooting needs across Production, QC, R&D, and Maintenance departments.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance across the plant.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new field instruments for projects.
  • Configure DCS settings such as trip, alarm, and interlock functions as per departmental requirements.
  • Implement process and safety interlocks in DCS systems to ensure safe operations.
  • Maintain and monitor spare parts inventory, forwarding procurement requests to the Assistant Manager of Instrumentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Instrumentation/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and industrial control systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of DCS/PLC systems, calibration processes, and distributed control systems.
  • Proficiency in handling instrumentation compliance records and safety documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex industrial environments.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation abilities.
