Key Responsibilities
Performance Testing & Automation
- Develop and execute automated performance test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Conduct load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing to validate application performance.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
Test Planning & Strategy
- Design and implement performance test plans and frameworks.
- Drive performance testing best practices across multiple projects.
- Define test environments and performance scenarios in collaboration with DevOps and QA teams.
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance metrics.
- Identify performance bottlenecks using tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- Provide actionable recommendations to development and architecture teams.
Collaboration & Mentoring
- Work with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product, and operations) to resolve performance issues.
- Mentor junior and mid-level testers on performance engineering principles.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–12 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and automation.
- Strong expertise in tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling (or similar).
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and the SDLC lifecycle.
- Ability to analyze complex performance issues and recommend scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in performance testing integration with DevOps pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud performance testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Prior experience in mentoring teams or leading performance strategy.
