Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Build and optimize test automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.
- Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines.
Test Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with product and development teams to define test strategies.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and effort estimates.
- Conduct automated and manual tests, ensuring quality across platforms.
Defect Tracking & Reporting
- Identify, log, and monitor defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Partner with developers to resolve defects and re-test fixes.
- Provide detailed test execution reports to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and frameworks.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for testing efficiency.
- Mentor junior testers in automation best practices.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and QA leads.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation testing.
- Expertise in Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Hands-on exposure to API testing and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of automation best practices and modern QA methodologies.
- Experience mentoring junior automation engineers.
