Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – Backend Developer at Deloitte, you will:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services for enterprise solutions.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
- Implement caching solutions (Redis, Memcached) to boost application performance.
- Utilize messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven architectures.
- Apply security best practices (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, CORS, CSRF, XSS, SQL Injection prevention).
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Mocha, Chai, or TestNG.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Datadog.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Programming Languages: Java (8+), JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript.
- Backend Frameworks: Node.js (Express.js, NestJS), Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security).
- Microservices: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems.
- Databases: Expertise in SQL & NoSQL technologies.
- Testing & CI/CD: TDD, unit testing frameworks, CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Security: Strong knowledge of OAuth, JWT, secure API development.
- Monitoring/Logging: ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk.
Good to Have:
- GraphQL and Serverless experience (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
