Summary
KPMG India is seeking an experienced Manager – Major Projects Advisory in Kolkata, West Bengal, to join our Business Consulting Transformation team. This role focuses on providing expert advisory services for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects, including airports, ports, highways, metro, water & irrigation, oil refineries, chemical, and manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of project management experience, strong technical knowledge across infrastructure sectors, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring project success. Candidates with consulting experience, digital tool proficiency, and expertise in ERP, data analytics, or ESG will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advisory services across multiple workstreams under team leadership.
- Support business development opportunities and identify innovative solutions for clients.
- Develop and maintain knowledge repositories and share project-specific insights across teams.
- Assist in creating cutting-edge methodologies and tools for infrastructure projects.
- Drive project excellence by ensuring quality service, alignment with client objectives, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and advise on project planning, controls, cost management, risk management, procurement, and contracts.
- Utilize Primavera or MS Project to develop baselines, monitor progress, and enable key project decisions.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project management and advisory expertise in infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in high-performance and dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Client-focused with strong relationship management and service culture.
- Familiarity with digital tools, ERP systems, data analytics, and ESG is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at client locations.
Qualifications
- Engineering, Architecture, or Commerce degree.
- Postgraduate degree in Management / CA or equivalent.
- 10-12 years of project management experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial construction, or related sectors.
- Functional experience in project controls, planning, monitoring, budget & cost management, PMO setup, risk management, procurement, and contract management.
- Prior consulting experience and exposure to technology-enabled solutions is preferred.
