Overview

Deloitte India is hiring a Deputy Manager for SOC Operations in Gurgaon to manage and enhance Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities. The role involves monitoring, detection, and response to cyber threats, implementing SIEM solutions, mentoring analysts, and ensuring robust incident management for enterprise and client environments.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigation of security incidents, including data collection, root cause analysis, and recovery
• Validate and fine-tune SIEM correlation rules and detection use-cases to reduce false positives
• Propose and implement new SIEM use cases and playbooks based on threat intelligence and emerging TTPs
• Monitor SIEM and other security tools for alerts, anomalies, and policy violations
• Lead incident response activities, ensuring forensic integrity and timely containment
• Mentor and provide analytical support to L1 SOC analysts
• Correlate data from multiple sources to create actionable intelligence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
• Maintain detailed incident documentation and contribute to refining response playbooks
• Keep leadership informed about high-priority incidents and recommend strategic countermeasures
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5–8 years in SOC operations, incident response, or cybersecurity
• Frameworks & Methodologies: MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, NIST IR
• Technical Expertise:
  • SOC administration, threat detection, and incident response
  • Cloud security, EDR, DLP, firewalls
  • Operating systems, TCP/IP, ports, IDS/IPS
  • Malware analysis and sandbox environments
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
