IBM India is hiring an experienced Technical Architect – Cloud Platforms to join its IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center in Bangalore. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in cloud storage, hybrid cloud environments, and enterprise IT architecture.

As a Technical Architect at IBM, you will lead cloud platform architecture, storage solutions, and hybrid deployments, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. You will guide high-performing teams, manage technical design workshops, and implement scalable, automated storage solutions across on-premises and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Solution Leadership: Lead technical design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade cloud and storage solutions.
• Team Delivery Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of consultants to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with high quality.
• Comprehensive Solution Delivery: Drive solution strategy and implementation across clients, leveraging deep storage and cloud expertise.
• Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor, facilitating workshops and guiding stakeholders on cloud and storage best practices.
• Storage & Cloud Expertise: Architect, deploy, and manage SAN, NAS, object, and software-defined storage solutions across hybrid cloud environments.
• Automation & Optimization: Implement storage automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, and integrate storage into virtualized and containerized environments.
• Capacity & Performance Management: Handle storage provisioning, performance tuning, replication strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s preferred.
• 10–12 years of experience in enterprise storage architecture and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise in SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Software-Defined Storage from major vendors (NetApp, VEAM, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage, IBM).
• Hands-on experience with cloud storage on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficient in automation scripting and tools: PowerShell, Python, Ansible.
• Experience integrating storage in virtualized and containerized environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client management skills.

• Ability to guide teams and ensure design compliance.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration and technical feasibility assessment skills.
• Exposure to capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience mentoring consultants and leading workshops for client engagements.
