Summary
Chevron is hiring a Core Maintenance Planner – Instrumentation in Bengaluru, India to provide expert instrumentation maintenance planning support for Chevron’s Refining and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in instrumentation engineering, maintenance work management, and complex process facility operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop fully integrated instrumentation job plans, including step-outs, cost estimates, and detailed job packages.
- Define job scope, task sequencing, and manpower loading for successful execution.
- Ensure planned activities are included in integrated work schedules, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Turnaround teams.
- Interface with Operators, Contractors, and Management to deliver work incident-free, on time, and within budget.
- Procure materials and services through Material Requisition or Service Order processes.
- Ensure facility and HES standards are incorporated into job plans, following safe work practices such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
- Track the physical progress of executed field work against baselines and report to management.
- Manage scope growth/change management, integrating approved changes into execution plans.
- Support planning and execution processes for routine maintenance, centralized maintenance, and maintenance projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related maintenance discipline.
- Strong instrumentation trade background with deep knowledge of instrumentation maintenance planning.
- Skilled in estimating, planning, scheduling, executing, and closing out maintenance work.
- Understanding of sequencing tasks for complex facility equipment, including pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and excavations.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Work Management processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of field experience in planning and executing maintenance activities in complex processing facilities.
- Previous experience in Refineries and/or LNG facilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, develop contingency plans, and improve work processes.
