Deloitte is hiring a Java SpringBoot Backend Engineer for a Consultant role in Gurgaon, India. Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Build and maintain high-quality backend applications using Java and Spring Boot for large-scale systems.
• API Integration: Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs to integrate with different systems and services.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.) or other cloud platforms to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with senior architects, consultants, and business analysts to define technical solutions and meet business requirements.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in CI/CD processes, optimize code performance, and engage in DevOps practices to ensure smooth application deployment and operation.
• Agile Methodology: Work in an Agile environment with a focus on DevOps principles to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues to ensure the smooth running of applications.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

• Java Development: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Cloud Technologies: At least 2 years of experience with AWS (or any cloud platform like Azure, GCP, etc.) for backend and serverless applications.
• API Development: Strong experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, UrbanCode, and Bamboo.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git, Maven, and Gradle for version control and build management.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize code for performance.

Preferred Skills

• Spring Batch & Integration: Familiarity with Spring Batch or Spring Integration for processing large datasets and integrating systems.
• Database & SQL: Experience with PL-SQL and Unix for database management.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
• Messaging Systems: Knowledge of JMS, IBM MQ, and API management tools like Layer7/Apigee.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS SAM.
• Microsoft Teams: Experience in Microsoft Teams development is a plus.
