Key Responsibilities
As a QA Automation Consultant, your duties will include:
- Designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python
- Creating and maintaining test cases and test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber)
- Executing automated and manual test cycles, logging defects, and verifying fixes
- Integrating automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and Git
- Collaborating with developers, QA analysts, and DevOps teams for release readiness
- Leading and mentoring junior QA automation engineers
- Enhancing automation strategy, governance models, and test automation standards
- Analyzing results and recommending optimizations for test performance
- Documenting testing processes and updating regression test suites
Required Skills & Tools
To excel in this automation testing role, you’ll need:
- 1–9 years of experience in Automation Testing with Selenium WebDriver
- Strong command of Java or Python for scripting and automation logic
- Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber test frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git
- Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in manual testing (as a support function)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in test automation framework development
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Exposure to cloud environments is a plus (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
