As a Gen AI Engineer at Cognizant, you’ll play a critical role in AI-driven solution development. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cleaning, and augmenting data for LLM training and evaluation
• Developing large-scale models like GANs, VAEs, and Transformers
• Fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) on domain-specific datasets
• Building backend services using Python or .NET for AI integration
• Designing and maintaining AI pipelines and data workflows
• Implementing chunking, embeddings, and vector database techniques
• Deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Ensuring robustness, efficiency, and scalability of deployed models
• Collaborating with DevOps, Data Scientists, and Product teams
• Staying up to date with the latest in AI/ML, NLP, and deep learning

💡 Required Skills & Experience

• Solid background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI model architecture
• Proficiency in Python and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models: GANs, VAEs, Transformers
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) for text parsing and generation
• Familiarity with GPT models, sentiment analysis, and contextual understanding
• Experience with synthetic data generation and augmentation techniques
• Ability to deploy and manage AI models in production environments
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for AI workflows
• Experience with Azure Cognitive Services, OpenAI, or similar platforms
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration mindset

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Science
• 3–8 years of professional experience in AI/ML or Data Engineering
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and LLMOps is a plus
• Proven track record in building and deploying production-ready AI systems
