📌 Key Responsibilities

As a QatarEnergy Safety Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing and enforcing road safety standards across Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC).
  • Monitoring compliance with QatarEnergy’s safety procedures, national regulations, and international benchmarks.
  • Coordinating with local enforcement authorities and internal stakeholders to reduce traffic incidents.
  • Promoting a positive road safety culture through awareness campaigns, audits, and safety drills.
  • Reporting and investigating road safety breaches or incidents in line with company protocols.
  • Providing technical safety guidance for operational improvements and future projects.
  • Utilizing computer tools (MS Office Suite) to maintain safety records, generate reports, and present findings.

🛠️ Required Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 8+ years of practical experience in road safety, law enforcement, traffic control, or HSE—preferably within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety practices, traffic regulation enforcement, and emergency response.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and exercise good judgment in diverse, multicultural environments.
  • A valid Qatar driving license is mandatory.

🎓 Educational Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or a related field.
  • Equivalent qualification in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) or NEBOSH certification is acceptable.
