🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Tesla electric vehicles.
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new cars.
- Use scan tools, diagnostic systems, and testing equipment to assess and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
- Assist with calibration, certification, and adjustment of automotive systems (brakes, HVAC, electronic modules).
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
- Order necessary tools and parts to support service operations.
- Keep vehicles and service areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with senior/journeyman technicians and provide support when needed.
- Participate in sales and service events as required.
🛠️ Required Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of automotive systems and servicing methods (diagnostics, HVAC, electrical/electronic repair, hydraulic systems).
- Experience operating hand tools, shop equipment, and diagnostic machines.
- Familiarity with chemicals, lubricants, and safety procedures in automotive repair.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
🎓 Education & Experience Requirements
- Degree or certificate in Automotive Technology from a recognized institution or equivalent industry experience.
- 1–3 years in a dealership service environment or 3–5 years in the general automotive industry.
- OEM certification or factory-trained technician status is a strong plus.
- Hybrid or EV servicing experience preferred but not mandatory.
- A/C system repair certification desirable.
