This full-time role is ideal for purchasing and supply chain professionals with 3–7 years of procurement, order management, or supply chain experience, preferably within the electronics or manufacturing industry.

As a Procurement Specialist at Flex, you will manage purchase orders, vendor coordination, supplier database, and procurement reporting, ensuring smooth supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist at Flex Chennai, you will:

• Process purchase orders (POs) promptly and follow up with vendors for order confirmation and payments.
• Coordinate with suppliers for delivery updates and manage on-time material availability.
• Prepare and review Open PO Reports and Shortage Reports.
• Execute core procurement processes for assigned products while meeting service levels and inventory targets.
• Manage supplier database and ensure compliance with purchasing strategies.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers for PO modifications.
• Handle shortage/excess escalation, urgent receipts, past dues, and receiving challenges.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize procurement efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve supplier and service issues.
• Generate customized procurement and supply chain reports for process enhancement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree / Engineering graduate.
• Experience: 3–7 years in procurement, supply chain, or order management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement end-to-end processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably BAAN).
• Background in manufacturing or electronics industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (mandatory).
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
