Key Responsibilities
As an Investment Specialist at Mercer Mumbai, you will:
- Manage delivery workflows and support investment consulting assignments.
- Drive new business initiatives combining research and delivery requirements.
- Conduct investment manager research, analyzing fund performance, market trends, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Provide support to onshore consultants in performance analysis, asset allocation advice, economic commentary, and presentations.
- Collaborate with Mercer’s portfolio management and consulting teams to deliver client solutions.
- Manage client investment reports in coordination with the reporting unit, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Produce bespoke investment reports and strategic investment reviews.
- Assist in pension asset-liability analysis and dynamic de-risking framework design.
- Prepare client valuation and audit response reports.
- Guide and coach junior team members while scaling team expertise.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policies, and guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Finance, or MBA. CFA/FRM is a plus.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant work experience in the financial sector.
- Strong background in investment research and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret fund performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Strong stakeholder management and team collaboration skills.
